This tree is designed to have both black (Sabara) and Scarlet (Escarlate) Jabo fruits at the same time. Scions selected from fruiting Escarlate stock. Scarlet is a true dwarf jaboticaba and fruits three or more times per year. The fruits are very sweet and resemble a candy grape bubblegum flavor that you will enjoy and remember. Sabara is very sweet and also has a strong grape bubblegum / blueberry flavor. This tree is designed to have both black (Sabara) and Scarlet (Escarlate) Jabo fruits at the same time. This tree will produce Scarlet fruit first then Sabara will follow. When the tree starts to shed its bark it is getting ready to flower. Jaboticaba fruits grow on the trunk of the tree and fruits grow on old wood. Very limited quantity produced.
